| ||Activity 1 Look at learning outcomes|
Ask the children to look at the learning outcomes for the lesson – you may explain what they are going to learn in Chinese.
| ||Activity 2 STOP!|
Put the flashcards in a pile all facing the same direction. Then pick them up so that only the students can see the top card and you are looking at the back of the cards. Call out a structure, e.g. on the bed. Then exchange the flashcards one at a time. In other words, take the first flashcard and put it at the back, so that the students can see the next flashcard but you can't. When the students see the flashcard that matches the expression that you have called out, they yell, "Stop!". After each expression, shuffle the flashcards so that they are in a different order.
Another way to do this activity is to turn the cards around so that only you can see them. The students have to guess which expression is on the card that you are looking at. These activities are an easy way to quickly review vocabulary. You will be able to see easily how well the students have learned the vocabulary and whether or not you will need to do more reinforcement activities.

| ||Activity 3 Pelmanism|
This pelmanism game is slightly different. There are two sets of cards: expression cards and picture cards. The picture cards are shuffled and spread upside down over a table. The structure cards are placed in a pile in the centre of the table. The first student turns over a structure card. Then tries to find the two cards that represent the structure card. The student can turn over only two cards. If s/he does not succeed in finding the proper cards, the next student tries to find the correct cards. When a student does find the two cards representing the structure card, s/he takes the pair of picture cards and the structure card. The next student then turns over a new structure card and the tries to find the proper pictures cards continues.
The instructions can be given in Chinese.
You can say, Choose an expression card. Then try to find the matching pair of cards.
這個記憶練習稍有不同。有兩套卡片：短語卡片和圖片。圖片卡面朝下，隨機順序放在桌子上。短語卡片撂放在桌子中間。第一個學生翻開一張短語卡片。然后再去試著找到解釋這個短語的卡片。一個同學只能翻開兩張卡片。如果這位學生沒有找到適當的卡片，下一位同學就要試著去找到正確的卡片。如果一個同學找到這兩張解釋短語的卡片， 那么這位同學就可以將這個圖片和短語卡片拿走。下一位同學就可以翻開一張新短語卡片，再繼續為這張卡片找到相應的圖片 。

Try to write 5 to 8 sentences about each picture. Check your answers with a partner.
| ||Activity 5 I spy|
For the remaining few minutes of class, you can have a short game of "I spy". For example, you would say, I spy with my little eye something that is on my desk. Try to use the expressions from the lesson to describe objects around the room. Students can also participate in making I spy... sentences.
