Ask the children to look at the learning outcomes for the lesson – you may explain what they are going to learn in Chinese.
| ||Activity 2 Charades|
Choose a student to come to the front of the class. Show that student a sentence from the "Charades" sheet. The student then tries to get someone in the class to say that sentences by miming the activity.
You can say, Try to do the movement and get your classmates to say the sentence.

| ||Activity 3 Let's chant!|
Watch the movie.
Use the flashcards to create a chant that will also include a body movement. First, have the students decide on a body movement for the structures included in this lesson. Secondly, have the students stand next to their desks and divide the class into to sides.. You hold up a flashcard and then choose a subject (e.g. you, they, Ma Lanlan, etc.) One side of the class forms the question including the subject you have chosen (e.g. What is Ma Lanlan doing?). Then the next side of the class forms the answer according to the flashcard being shown (e.g. Ma Lanlan is watering the flowers.) Then the two sides of the class change roles. Repeat this and try to get the students to say the questions and answers quickly. If students are having trouble with the rhythm, try clapping to provide a guide for the speed and pace of speech.

Hand out blank BINGO sheets. Dictate a mixture of verbs and nouns from the vocabulary and structures being covered which students will write in squares of their choice. When everyone's sheets are filled, call out verbs and nouns, one at a time, until a student gets four in a row. You can then have students exchange bingo sheets and then play again.
You can say, Listen to the words and then write them in a square. Then we will play BINGO!

For the remaining few minutes of class, have a round of Simon Says. You call out "Simon says ___________". Students do the movement for that expression as used in the Charades section of the lesson.
